Pampered Pug takes pride of place at the wedding

A loved-up pair tied the knot in front of family and friends with an unusual ‘flower girl’ – their PUG.

Tiny two-year-old Pumpkin, an adorable ‘pugalier’ – a pug and King Charles Cavalier cross – had all eyes on her as she strutted around the ceremony in a white-flower collar.

Pampered Pumpkin is a dog model and was helping her parents, Natalie and Adam Duckworth, 24, and 26, mark the big occasion.

Owner Natalie said her “baby” is “so spoiled,” admitting as soon as she booked the wedding Pumpkin was the first thing on her mind.

The newly-wedded beauty salon worker dresses her pooch with the best clothes and accessories so she can show off when they go for walks and pose for snaps.

Natalie said: “We had the whole reception at a massive golf club, so we managed to get lots of nice pictures across the grounds, and there was lots of room for Pumpkin to run about.

“Pumpkin was our only flower girl, we had bridesmaids, but my baby had to have a special spot.

“As soon I booked the wedding she was always going to have this part.”

Pumpkin is a model at a dog modelling agency.

She was spotted for the gig through being featured on Natalie’s Instagram.

Natalie added: “Our friends know what we’re like with Pumpkin, we’ve got canvases all over the house of her.

“When we go for walks she has the best clothes and trendy hoodies, she’s so spoiled.

“She’s well known for it around the area and is popular on Instagram too, she’s all I post about.

“I spent too much time on honeymoon looking through the huge specialist dog shops out in Florida.

“She’s going to have way too many things at Christmas but I couldn’t help it.

“It was the first time I’ve ever left her and it was so hard. My mum stayed at home with her and sent me lots of pictures to help with my missing her.

“She was so well-behaved for our big day, and having her as our flower girl just made it even more perfect than it already was.”
